Our Sustainable projects
Protection of forests and trails with Fedabo
At Polli, we’re proud to be a part of the Fedabo Ecosystem project. This aims to safeguard the forest and river ecosystems of Valle Camonica as well as the neighboring valleys including Oglio river.
As part of this project, Polli has contributed to managing a 200m2 wooded area (area n°61) as part of a broader effort to protect the Gianico woodland in the province of Brescia, along the Strada dei Tedeschi, covering an extensive 30,000 m2 area.
Conservation of land with Agricolus
We’ve partnered with Agricolus and the Il Buongusto agricultural company (VR) to optimise water and fertiliser consumption in our basil cultivation for healthier, more robust plants.
Using Agricolus’ irrigation forecast model, water will be distributed efficiently with minimal waste plus, prescription maps will optimise fertiliser use- adjusting the dose accordingly, to minimse its environmental impact.

Through the Orto in Città project, Polli champions the many benefits that nature bestows upon us. Now in its second edition, Orto in Città serves as a vibrant hub for communal discovery, promoting new sustainability ideas that help to reconnect urban environments and nature.
In 2023, workshops for adults and children, along with outdoor picnics, were hosted at Cascina Cuccagna in Milan from June 11th to October 8th.

Social sustainability
At Polli, we do our best to support local communities. We’ve worked in partnership with Banco Alimentare Toscana, the Italian foodbank network, since 2022, and in that time we have donated more than 168,869 products. Nearly 11,400 of these went to support the communities affected by the November 2022 floods.
In 2023, Polli launched its children’s play area in Monsummano Terme, the headquarters of F.lli Polli SpA. This area, equipped with games and rides, allows the youngest children of the local Tuscan community to play in the open air and in contact with the nature.
